With great pride, I present to you my cheerful Forest Beasties – a delightful blanket made up of 12 charming animal squares that are sure to bring a smile to your face!

This pattern includes:

Perfect for beginners – the squares are small and manageable, and a great way to practise or master a new technique!

Choose two contrasting colours. Scrap yarn is perfect!

Per square (51 x 51 stitches):

• 3mm hook (US D): 23 x 23 cm (9 x 9”) – 80m / 88yd total (two colours)

• 4mm hook (US F): 27 x 27 cm (10.5 x 10.5”) – 90m / 100yd

• 5mm hook (US H): 31 x 31 cm (12 x 12”) – 110m / 121yd

Borders (per square):

• Single envelope border: approx. 60–90m / 66–99yd per colour

• Double envelope border: approx. 120–180m / 132–200yd per colour

Final blanket border (around all 12 squares):

• 3mm hook (US C): Pattern Colour A: 295m / 325yd, Background Colour B: 250m / 275yd
